Welcome to Doctors Assisted Wellness

Addiction is a treatable disease. Our practice at Doctors Assisted Wellness utilizes a multi-faceted approach to treatment and recovery from chemical dependency.

We utilize contingency management, medication-assisted treatment with Suboxone/Buprenophine, & Sublocade injections; along with individual and group in-house counseling at your visit with our addiction medicine physician, Wellness counselor, LADAC Intern, or newest employee Mr. Prasant Akunuri (Licensed Master Social Worker) with additional Certification in Clinical Drug & Alcohol Abuse counseling. With COVID Protocols still in place, we continue to utilize Telemedicine visits & Check-ins wherever possible to keep both our clients & Staff from the spread of any illness where our clinics are concerned. Each patient is an individual and has their own specialized needs and lengths of care. Referrals to community resources are assessed at your initial visit and as needed throughout your treatment including job and education help resources. We follow in the models of The American Society of Addiction Medicine, substance abuse and mental health services administration, and White House Office of Drug Control Policy that medication-assisted treatment is the method of choice for opioid dependency treatment. Some patients will do well offered total abstinence and others will need medications. Regardless of who you are, we are here to help you with the tools you need along your personal journey to wellness and recovery.

Our Unique Approach

We have developed and researched a system of outpatient addiction treatment with over 10 years of clinical experience. We utilize contingency management in our Addiction Treatment Center. This is a series of awards and discount based incentives to remain focused in your treatment. You will get to know our staff & physicians fairly well, the more honest you can be with them, the more you will get out of our program so they can best identify what areas of your life you might need the most help with. "Support and problem-focused groups or individual counseling are offered to our patients from day 1. These will help you identify triggers and how to change problem areas within your own life at your own pace.

What Is buprenorphine?

Buprenorphine is a unique medication that was approved for use by The Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000 (DATA 2000) under the name Suboxone. Buprenorphine is available by prescription by a physician authorized to prescribe this medication by special training, and waivered by specialty certification by the DEA.

Our facility uses this medication along with our unique program of counseling and contingency management for an excellent accountability approach to treatment where each patient is given a level of financial control of their treatment.
